Aero Sensor was founded by former Formula 1 aerodynamicist Dr. Barney Garrood PhD, to provide precise aerodynamic solutions for a wide range of applications.
With decades of high-level motorsport and wind tunnel testing experience, we design and manufacture aerodynamic probes, and measurement systems tailored to demanding professional applications.
Our standard product range includes yaw pitots, multi-hole probes, Kiel probes and Kiel rakes; all built for measurement accuracy and repeatability in the most challenging test environments.
For applications beyond standard configurations, we work closely with customers to develop bespoke probe designs and complete measurement systems. Our purpose-built calibration wind tunnel enables us to validate aero dynamic probes across wide yaw and pitch angles at air speeds up to 275mph.
Supporting these probes, our high-accuracy pressure scanners deliver differential pressure measurements at up to 1000 samples per second with outstanding zero stability, providing a data acquisition solution to complement our probe and calibration services.

Lana Davies, Administrator & Logistics Coordinator

Lana Davies became a valuable member of the Aero Sensor team in August 2023. Bringing a wealth of experience as an administrator and office manager, she has seamlessly adapted to her dynamic and challenging role within the company. Outside of work, Lana balances her life as a mother of three with a variety of interests. She is a keen participant in Spin classes and in rare moments of relaxation, can be found enjoying a good book with a glass of wine.
Adam Garai, Lead Software Engineer

Adam Garai, our Lead Software Engineer, joined our team at Aero Sensor in February 2024. His passion for both experimenting with hardware and building new software makes him a perfect fit for our innovative projects at Aero Sensor. Beyond technology, Adam finds joy in the outdoors, often embarking on long hikes to unwind.
Max Jones, Lead R&D Engineer

Max Jones joined us in February 2026 as our Lead R&D Engineer. With a background in aerodynamic design, computational aerodynamics and aeroacoustics, Max supports the development of bespoke instrumentation, probe calibration and wind tunnel testing. Outside of work, Max enjoys 3D printing, tinkering, and applying his aerodynamics experience to high-speed, ambitious aircraft projects.
