About Aerosensor
Aerosensor designs and manufactures high-precision aerodynamic measurement devices used from elite cycling to Formula One. We launched our first products in 2023 and, in July 2025, moved into a new laboratory at Dunsfold Park- home to our world-class probe calibration wind tunnel, capable of calibrating across wide onset-angle ranges at airspeeds up to 275 mph. Our mission is to become the global leader in aerodynamic measurement.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead the design and end-to-end delivery of bespoke aerodynamic probes for customers including automotive OEMs, research institutions, and F1 teams. You’ll take concepts from requirements capture through CAD, detailing, supplier engagement, build, and calibration, ensuring quality, cost, and timing targets are met.

- Product design using CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE (training available).
- Create CAD models, engineering drawings, BoMs, and technical documentation.
- Liaise directly with customers to translate requirements into clear specifications.
- Engage suppliers to optimise manufacturability, lead-times, and cost.
- Support build, calibration, and issue resolution on the shop floor.
- Drive R&D for next-generation probe architectures and fixtures.
- Maintain configuration control and traceability for regulated customers.
Requirements
- Solid background in 3D CAD design and project management within manufacturing.
- Proficiency with CATIA (or strong experience in a comparable CAD package with willingness to cross-train).
- Minimum 3 years’ post-graduate industrial experience.
- Confident communicator with customers and suppliers; clear technical writing.
- Practical mindset: comfortable moving between design office and lab/workshop.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
- Commitment to high standards of quality and delivery.
- Can-do, collaborative approach; able to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Resilient and resourceful, with the drive to overcome challenges.
Nice to Have (Advantageous)
- Experience with precision machined assemblies, fluid-dynamic instrumentation, or metrology.
- Exposure to DFMA, GD&T, tolerance stacks.
- Basic data analysis skills (e.g., Excel) for calibration results.
What We Offer
- Opportunity to ship hardware used at the forefront of motorsport and research.
- Hands-on access to a unique calibration wind tunnel and test facilities.
- Training on CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE and our internal calibration methods.
- 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays
